The little round stamp was there previously from someone else and she wanted to add something bigger to it and more interesting that had to do with Nova Scotia as well. I had *so* much fun doing this guy, and he's given me ideas. Neat ideas. Eeevil ideas.

do you have the original design available to see thats not done on skin?
Messorius
Yes I do, I keep things filed for people for about 6 months. It's really not much to see, blocked colour and very stained with disinfectant at this point. :P
Thornwolf
oh i was just wondering if you were gonna post the original :3 six months then?
Messorius
I was toying with the idea of making a nicer copy of it to upload actually, or playing more with the rampant lion character :D I like him a lot. The original for this is very basic. I don't bust myself out fully for client drawings since I've spent waaay too much time on people who don't show and don't call(so classy of them).
Thornwolf
ah wait did you do the tattoo yourself? in which case I fully apologize if I've insulted you at all. I just really like your art and its hard to tell sometimes on skin :3
Thornwolf
ah, i really like the design a lot thats why i wanted to see it in its original form because I really dont think the tattoo artist did your artwork justice at all.
Messorius
Haha dude, I AM the tattoo artist. :P
Thornwolf
eek one step behind. i totally apologize. as mentioned I really like the design I just am not so fond of some of the linework in places but its nothing that couldn't be fixed, and I'm sure the client was very happy :3 you may delete my comments if you wish so as not to clutter up your page with me being stupid and nitpicking where unnecessary
Messorius
Oh I don't really mind. She's happy as pie per usual, she's a repeat client. I would like to know where you had hangups, however?
Thornwolf
Its primarily the linework. Its very shaky and inconsistent in lots of places, it thickens randomly without it appearing to be a reason for it like for example, to hint a drop shadow, which I notice you did accomplish in some places which leads me to believe some of that was intentional, but again there are quite a few instances where it doesn't flow very well. This is particularly noticeable on the blue ribbon on the upper right right where it twists. Also the circle for the "made in canada" logo is lopsided on the right side.
Messorius
The circle actually isn't mine(said in the description), I just redid it and flapped the tears next to it. It was pretty well off kilter starting out. I can see a few places where the line weight is off including the ribbon, but unless she brings it up, I'm not too fussed. :) I'm focused on her being happy.
Thornwolf
ah okay so you didn't do the circle then..I see that now. And yeah tell me about it unless there's a complaint there's really no point in bringing it up XD Thank you for taking my comments graciously. Again, I do like the design a lot.
Messorius
No problem, and thanks for the feedback!
